WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — The Wichita County Sheriff's Office has confirmed the arrest of a man who allegedly scammed several Wichita Falls residents out of thousands of dollars for undelivered air conditioner repairs.

Wichita County Sheriff David Duke confirmed that John Dewayne Hennan, 39, was arrested at his heating and air conditioning business on FM 367 Wednesday afternoon.

WCSO deputies surrounded Hennan's business for a welfare check and eventually called an ambulance for a subject complaining of chest pain, which Sheriff Duke later confirmed was Hennan.

According to WFPD Sergeant Charlie Eipper, Hennan was wanted for theft over $2,500 but less than $30,000 by false pretenses, fraud or breach of trust.

He allegedly defrauded several Wichita Falls homes out of thousands of dollars by promising HVAC work that was never completed.
