Chicago shooting: Demarion Jovan Raggs, 13-year-old boy, killed in Lawndale on South Independent Boulevard, officials say

CHICAGO (WLS) — A 13-year-old boy shot and killed on the West Side last week was identified Thursday.

Chicago police released video Wednesday of three people they say may be connected to the teen's shooting death.

The victim was identified as Demarion Jovan Raggs, 13, by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Police said the teen was standing on a sidewalk on South Independent Boulevard near West 13th Street on Friday, June 14 around 8:30 p.m. when he was shot in the head.

The teen was rushed to hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead, police said.

On Wednesday evening, police released videos and photos of the three people walking on a street and at a gas station near the scene of the shooting.
