Fort Myers man charged with trafficking 20 grams of fentanyl and other street drugs

Fort Myers SWAT and officers seized narcotics off the street after an undercover buy-and-take operation. Officers from the Fort Myers Police Special Enforcement Division and the Fort Myers Police SWAT Team executed a search warrant at 2721 Colonial Blvd. Wednesday. The warrant was allegedly obtained after a controlled buy and undercover operation, a tracking operation and multiple surveillance operations. Officers say it was learned the residence was a hub for street drug sales and was connected to another residence where someone died of an overdose. Officers say they found six individuals, including Terry Williams, 54, who was arrested. Officers say they found six individuals, including Terry Williams, 54, who was arrested.

After searching the residence, detectives say they located and seized the following items:

  • 20 grams of fentanyl
  • 153 grams of cocaine
  • 66 grams of substituted cathinone
  • 5 grams of synthetic cannabinoids
  • 2 handguns and 1 AR-15 platform pistol
  • $5,255 in US currency

Officers say Williams was charged with the following:

  • Fentanyl trafficking
  • Cocaine trafficking
  • Trafficking in substituted cathinone
  • Possession of cocaine with intent to sell
  • Possession of synthetic cannabinoids with intent to sell
  • 2 charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Changing or Removing a Firearm's Serial Number
  • Possession of drug equipment

Williams is currently being held in the Lee County Jail.
