Registered sex offender in Gainesville arrested on suspicion of sending sexually explicit material to minor

The Gainesville Police Department arrested a 22-year-old registered sex offender Tuesday on suspicion of sending sexually explicit material to a minor in violation of his probation.

Emily Robinson posed as a 13-year-old girl to send multiple masturbation videos to a 16-year-old boy on the social media platform X on May 29, which she called a “moment of weakness,” according to the arrest report.

During her brief online conversation with the boy, Robinson sent her phone number, which she said belonged to her 22-year-old sister, and videos of herself, which she said were of her sister. However, she does not have a sister, and while the content does not show her face, police made a positive match on her hand tattoos, according to the arrest report.

In 2022, Robinson was arrested on four counts of possession of child pornography, promotion of child pornography, and unlawful use of a two-way device. After nearly 10 months in prison, she was placed on probation until 2027 as a registered sex offender for life in Florida.

Under state law, Florida sex offenders are required to register any changes to their email address, phone number and social media account with local law enforcement within 48 hours of the change. Multiple law enforcement agencies discovered Robinson’s unauthorized social media accounts on Instagram and Facebook under the names “Milly Dee” and “Raylen Rais.” She also had an unregistered email address and phone number.

Robinson registered a phone that didn’t allow internet access in 2022, but later admitted to law enforcement that she had another phone on the day of her arrest. Referring to the social media accounts, Robinson said she borrowed her boyfriend’s phone to create an X-rated profile that she used to degrade men for money, raking in about $25 in profits, according to the arrest report.

She created an additional X account to pose as a girl aged 12 to 16 in order to solicit money via private messages and video chats with adults.

Robinson was charged with three counts of sending harmful material to minors, failure to update telephone numbers as a sex offender, failure to report general information as a sex offender, providing false information as a sex offender, unlawful use of a two-way communication device and violation of probation.

Neither Robinson nor his relatives could be reached for comment.
